The Big Fish Belfast County Antrim by Aidan Monaghan

The Big Fish
Belfast County Antrim
by Aidan Monaghan
The Big fish sculpted by John Kindness sits at the bottom of Belfast’s historic High Street where the River Farset (Belfast - ‘Béal Feirste’, meaning the Mouth of the Farset) originally met the River Lagan and formed one of the first docks until the mid 19th century.

The printed ceramic mosaic is 10 metres long and the tiles depict images relating to the history of Belfast. The photograph was taken on a crisp July morning, to the back of frame sits the Albert Clock.
